When India was celebrating 76th Independence, another milestone is being created at Europe and a proud moment for all Ratlami's. Mountaineer couple Anurag Chaurasia and Sonali Parmar became first couple from India to hoist Indian Tricolur at Europe's highest peak - Mount Elbrus at 11 pm on 15 August. Mount Elbrus is the highest peak of the European Continent and is at 5,642 meters (18,510 ft) height. While climbing in the temperature of -20 to -25 degrees, both reached the peak at 5:30 am on August 16, unfurling the national flag of India and sang the national anthem of India.
Message of yoga given from the highest peak of Europe continent
The mountaineer couple has given the message of turning towards yoga to the world from the highest peak of Europe. Reaching the peak, the couple performed Surya Namaskar 7 times and also gave this message to the world that the yoga used in the Indian tradition is designed to provide a healthy life to the entire human race.
Earlier hoisted Indian flag in the continent of Africa as well
Earlier, Anurag Chaurasia and Sonali Parmar sang the national anthem while hoisting the national flag on Mount Kilimanjaro, 5895 meters (19341 feet), the highest peak of the continent of Africa.
