Prime Minister will inaugurate expressway's 245 km section in malwa region on october 2nd at 2:00 pm (IST) virtually from Gwalior. Eight lane expressway is 1,275 km access-controlled 8-lane expressway from Delhi - Mumbai. Malwa region will house around 245 km section covering districts of Ratlam, Mandsour and Jhabua.
Expressway will act as an catalyser for many cities in Malwa region including Indore, Ujjain, Ratlam, Mandsaur amongst others. Along with reduced distances and travel time, these cities would see multiple business opportunities in terms of business growth and reduced cost of transportation. expressway would help in both roadways and railways for easier movement of goods to remote areas at a quicker time.
Delhi – Mumbai Expressway – Connecting to Ratlam; Famous for "SSS - Sona, Sev, Sarees"
Delhi – Mumbai Expressway which will be connecting Ratlam and is expected to be a boon for low profile Industrial belt of Ratlam. Ratlam is known and famous for Purity in Gold Jewellwey, Namkeen Manufacturing and Saree Business.
As per the initial map, Expressway will be connecting at Ratlam District and will go through the route of Namli-Dhamnod.
Business opportunity to connect on both sides, towards Mumbai and towards Delhi would help Ratlam to grow at a multiplier pace.
Delhi – Mumbai Expressway – Key Benefits to Ratlam
- Generate More Business: Will benefit the local Cities in MP during construction with demand from Infrastructure products, Repair & Maintenance, Housing, Lodging and boarding, Fuel, Automobile, Food joints to among few names
- Employment Generation: Will benefit the local community through the generation of employment (generate an employment of ~ 50 Lakh man-days during the construction phase)

Post construction, logistics time will reduce substantially and agri produce would be transported to destination within short period.
